A couple of days ago a visitor to our site replied to one of our blog entries and said that she was Interested in being part of something amazing.
This headline really struck me because I'm back at my desk after attending two days of meetings with the Hostel Managers and Assistant Managers and Regional Office Staff. Over the past two days the leaders of our organization got together and shared best practices and mapped out the future direction of our Association. The amazing thing about working for HI is that everyone's input counts.
Our Hostel Managers have gone back to their properties to take care of the guests and staff, and we get back to our daily tasks of supporting field operations knowing that we are truly part of something amazing.

I am a new comer to your site and blog and I must say I am impressed. I stumbled on to your site doing research for my students (I am a hospitality lecturer that teach under privileged ladies about the hospitality and small accommodations industry’s) and to see someone so motivated by his job is indeed inspirational. This is a wonderful example of having the right attitude and a willingness to learn that I want to instill in my students.
Your organization sounds truly like the place to be. If you have a position open I will move there in a heartbeat, because this is truly something amazing.

Hostels are great
Talk about unique, I spent to weeks at a hostel in Vancouver.
I could not have had a better time.
While there I probed my mind for Hostel employment, and felt it would be a great job, getting to meet people, all sorts and types.
I enjoyed it even if work was non-existant and I had to head back to Edmonton.
I've applied for a hostel position here in Edmonton, I hope something shows up.

I have to say that when you
I have to say that when you walk into a hostel and you can see the passion on the faces of the staff, it makes you want to be part of it. Its not just about being a team but also a family and from reading the careers section of this site, it seems to me that HI have something special going on. Like the others who have commented on this blog, I have also applied for a position at Banff and also the new Whistler hostel. Just the thought of being involved is so much more exciting than any other job could possibly be!
