I joined HI in the summer of 2010 and I must say it is turning out to be one of the best experiences that I have ever signed up for. I wake up excited about going into work everyday! I knew the HI organization was the right fit for me from the very start. Just like me, many of the staff at HI have traveled and lived in many different parts of the world, and it creates a natural bond with the other travelers and co-workers at HI.
Being a Night Supervisor requires the ability to do a few things – front desk, security, and also the nightly audit. It can be challenging at the very beginning but after only a few weeks everything becomes second nature. Being a Night Sup also means that guests are extra-thankful for assisting them because it’s late. They really appreciate speedy customer service at the end of a long day of traveling.
Of course, the best part about working at HI is the people. I know you’ve heard this many time before but it is true! Where else will you meet this many fascinating people who all share the same interest: traveling!
