Our hostels are a diverse lot, that's for sure. From the tops of mountains to ocean shorelines, small towns, big cities, forests, parks and urban centres - we've got ‘em all. Where would you fit in?
In the heart of the urban jungle, these hostels are busy year round. Join in on the tours and take advantage of the easy access to museums, restaurants, pubs and clubs. You'll be close to major transportation centres, have all the amenities and the hustle and bustle of the city.
Urban hostels: HI-Calgary City Centre, HI-Edmonton, HI-Penticton, HI-Vancouver Central, HI-Vancouver Downtown, HI-Vancouver Jericho Beach, and HI-Victoria.
Located in the beautiful Canadian countryside, our resort hostels are homes unto themselves. You can live here too - for a season, or two, or seven!
You can get staff accommodation at a subsidized rate and skip meal planning with staff discounts at the on-site restaurants. There are lots of activities planned for both staff and guests and you'll surely get that home away from home feeling with a twist of luxury.
Which hostels do we consider home away from home for our staff? HI-Whistler, HI-Jasper, HI-Lake Louise Alpine Centre, and HI-Banff Alpine Centre.
These are smaller, rustic hostels off the beaten track in some beautiful parts of national parks. They're usually staffed by only one or two employees, but that's why we need very special people to work here.
If you're after the quiet, simple life, on the doorstep of the wilderness, this is where you should be: HI-Castle Mountain, HI-Kananaskis, HI-Mosquito Creek, HI-Rampart Creek, HI-Whiskey Jack, HI-Maligne Canyon, HI-Athabasca Falls, HI-Mount Edith Cavell, HI-Beauty Creek, and HI-Nordegg.
Some hostels in our network are independently owned and operated and do their own hiring. Get in touch with the hostel directly if you're interested in working at any of these hostels: HI-Canmore, HI-Cranbrook, HI-Fernie, HI-Nanaimo, HI-Nelson, HI-Shuswap, and HI-Tofino.
You decide what's best for you! For more details on what makes each hostel unique, visit the HI-Canada website.
